Oban 14 is a superb, full-bodied, single malt Scotch with a whiff of heather and more than a hint of smoke.
Although a bustling seaside resort has grown up around the distillery in the two centuries since it was first built in the fishing town of Oban, this West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion. The 14 year old is their classic, flagship single malt whisky.
Its appearance out of the bottle is olive gold, with a nose displaying a rich sweetness of fruits like oranges, lemons, and pears, complimented by a sea salt, peaty smokiness that is satisfying and 
never overbearing.
The Oban 14’s body is rich and full, filling one’s mouth with late autumn fruits like dried figs with honeyed sweet spices that lead into a smoky, malty dry mid-palate. The finish is smooth and sweet, caressed with oak and a final touch of salt.
This delightful single malt is the perfect balance between a Highland and an Islay whisky.
