This classic Cabernet carries aromas of boysenberry, anise, and blackberry which intermingle with hints of pipe tobacco and exotic spices. Dark fruit flavors of ripe, rounded raspberry, black currant, dried black cherry, and blood plum are accented with oak-derived notes of caramel, toasted coconut, and briarwood. Its tight tannins create a texture with a delicate thread of acidity that helps maintains flavors well into the finish.

Its grape composition is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and 7% Petite Verdot with an alcohol by volume of 13.5%, so it will stand up to big, juicy fare like a charcoal grilled steak or a slow smoked barbecue pork shoulder. Try adding a splash to the pan while sautéing some baby bella mushrooms.
