Celebrate the season with these scary Halloween Wines

Does finding the right wine for your Halloween party fill you with apprehension and dread? Fend off the wine willies with these scary selections:

Zombie Zin

A must-have for gruesome gatherings, Zombie Zin is a blood-red California Zinfandel bursting with plum and black currant. Pair it with sweet brains or a juicy blood sausage. “It’s the wine that would not die…”

Zombie Chard

Dress up your horror d’oeuvres with this frighteningly good California Chardonnay. It will shock your senses and haunt your wine glasses. Perfect for horror movie marathons and the upcoming apocalypse.

Bull’s Blood

Looking for something more historically accurate that old Vlad the Impaler himself might have enjoyed? Bull’s Blood from the Kovacs Nimrod winery of Hungary is a traditional dry quality red that is very representative of the red wines of Eger. This terroir-rich varietal carries the flavor of the soils of its production site and the mezzo-climate unique to that region. Deep ruby in color, its flavors and aromas present rich, spicy and fruity characteristics, mellowed without a tannin accent.

The Walking Dead Wines

To celebrate the popular TV show, The Last Wine Company resurrected their Cabernet Sauvignon and Blood Red Blend, allowing you the opportunity to bring your bottle to life using their The Living Wine Labels app, which animates (or reanimates) when the app is launched and pointed at the label.

Instead of killing time looking for these offerings all around town, take the fear out of wine shopping by grabbing them all in one fell at Wyatt’s where our superior selection and experienced staff will help you find the perfect bottle for all seasons.

Baileys Pumpkin will spice up any Halloween party

With the plethora of pumpkin spice items that hit every autumn, one stand out above the crowd–Baileys Pumpkin Spice Liqueur. Don’t delay getting your hands on this limited run flavor because deliveries are scheduled to stop in November, and it’s delightful.

The unapologetically indulgent liqueur is a modern update on their classic Irish Cream that blends the flavors of sweet cinnamon and baking spices, luscious maple, brown sugar, and baked pie crust with additional hints of vanilla and coffee for a unique Baileys taste experience.

The back of each bottle offers three easy and satisfying recipes for their Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Old Fashioned, and Pumpkin Spiced Chai. You can also check these out on the Baileys website.

As with most pumpkin liqueurs, it will certainly brighten any coffee or hot cocoa, and is wonderful on the rocks.

However you choose to try the new Baileys Pumpkin Spice, you’ll find it a welcome addition to your fall drinking repertoire.

Locally, you can find Baileys Pumpkin Spice Liqueur at bigger beverage retailers, like Wyatt’s Wet Goods, who stock a large variety of Baileys flavors, including gluten free Baileys Alamande, and other seasonal cordials.

Celebrate Halloween with Heritage Hills Pumpkin Spice Liqueur

Heritage Hills Pumpkin Spice Liqueur is an adult pumpkin beverage with sweet notes of oranges, vanilla, and graham crackers layered with cinnamon and cloves. It is seductive and long in the finish, allowing all its pumpkin flavor to shine. It is not overtly syrupy, and pairs well with other spiced liqueurs and whiskeys.

It also performs nicely as a dessert cordial with roasted nuts, ice cream, or fruit cocktails.

The strength of Heritage Hill’s pumpkin cream liqueur is how well it partners with other flavored spirits for a seasonal treat. Try it in an equal part combination with either Disaronno Amaretto or Frangelico for a “Nutty Pumpkin” cocktail. It also pairs well with whipped cream or marshmallow flavored vodkas.

For something specially fitting the change in temperature, mix one part Heritage Hills Pumpkin Spice with two parts of your favorite cinnamon whiskey.

However you choose to enjoy your grownup pumpkin spice this fall, remember to drink responsibly.

Heritage Hills Pumpkin Spice is a perennial autumn release. You can find it, as well as some unique options for mixing partners, at large local, family owned liquor stores like Wyatt’s that offer you a variety of fun, holiday treats.
