This Saturday, March 17, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of Irish whiskies and mead from Meridian Hive.
Start your St. Pat’s off right with samples of:
Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey: This small batch bottling consists of hand selected casks which are given further maturation in ex-rum barrels imparting an extra character and smooth flavor unique to Irish whiskey. Bottling at 46% ABV with no chill filtration.
Flight of the Earls: The gentle honey scent edged with vanilla leads into the vanilla-forward palate, with caramel, oak, and baking spice on its relatively warm finish. A splash of water really reveals its vanilla and honey notes, along with hints of pear and a mellow fade.
Jameson IPA Caskmates: Starting with barrels from the Midleton distillery, the local Irish brewery receives the propriety oak whiskey barrels to be filled with their local craft IPA. Once the IPA has imparted its crisp citrus notes, the barrels are sent back to Jameson to be reused to finish Jameson Original, enhancing the smooth taste of Jameson with a crisp, hoppy finish.
McGrath’s Irish Cream: McGrath’s Irish Cream is a supple balance of the finest local Irish whiskey and fresh cream from the county Tipperary. Well suited for enjoying chilled over ice or married with your favorite coffee drink.

The winner of 11 Mazer Cup awards, Meridian Hive is a renowned craft meadery from Austin, Texas. Their modern take includes bold additions to broaden the flavor profiles and appeal of interest in the developing mead scene.
Tasting hours for this free event on Saturday, March 17, 2018, will be from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
