This Saturday, February 23, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of French wines that will have you yelling “Oui, Ouie!”
Wyatt’s is featuring a few French favorites, including:
Chateau Briot Blanc: This contemporary Bordeaux white brings attractive grassy, herbal aromas that are followed by a palate of richly structure citrus that finishes crisply.
Chateau Briot Rouge Bordeaux Rouge: It opens with a wonderful nose of jammy red currants, blackberries, cassis and a little spice to round out the palate. Medium-bodied with a satisfying finish that displays vanilla and a little nutmeg.
Vacqueyras Cuvee Prestige: From the vineyard-strewn area around the parishes of Vacqueyras and Sarrians in France’s southern Rhone Valley wine region, this blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre carries an embracing aroma with balanced acidity and tannins that leads into a pleasing, gentle finish.
Chateau Eugenie: Using 100% Malbec grapes, this French interpretation has a brilliant garnet color and an intense nose of red fruit dominated by raspberry fragrances. The palate is fruity, with mellow mid-palate tannins that develop into a bold, fruity flavor. Its finish is firm yet smooth. An ideal partner for grilled vegetables and white meats.
You can sample these delightful wines this Saturday during our free tasting from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
As always, all participants must present valid I.D.
