This Saturday, January 12, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting profiling wines from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres.
Saturday, Wyatt’s is offering “try before you buy” samples of these fine wines from Europe and the Americas:
Chateau Eugenie Cahor 2016 (France) – Using 100% Malbec grapes, this French interpretation has a brilliant garnet color and an intense nose of red fruit dominated by raspberry fragrances. The palate is fruity, with mellow mid-palate tannins that develop into a bold, fruity flavor. Its finish is firm yet smooth. An ideal partner for grilled vegetables and white meats.
Spice Block Malbec 2016 (Argentina) -This traditional Argentine wine exhibits robust flavors of blackberry and black cherry compote with a slight hint of mocha for a velvety finish with fine, supple tannins refined by 9 months of oak aging. Spice Block Malbec is sublimely suited to compliment the grilled beef for which Argentina is so famous.
Natale Verga Organic Nero d’Avola 2017 (Italy) – Made entirely with organically farmed Nero d’Avola, this offers aromas of dark-skinned fruit and scorched earth. The easygoing palate offers fleshy black plum, clove and black pepper alongside pliant tannins.
The Culprit Red Blend 2014 (California) – The Culprit North Coast Red is a blend of predominantly Syrah, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, with six other varietals thrown into the mix to give it plenty of complexity. It is a big, bold and intense wine that pairs well with beef or lamb dishes, and goat cheese appetizer plates.
Tasting hours for this event will be from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
As always, all participants must present valid I.D.
