Saturday Wine Tasting – “Old World vs New, Part Two”

January 19, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:45 pm

This Saturday, January 19, Wyatt’s continues its continental tastings with more wines from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres.

Saturday, Wyatt’s is offering “try before you buy” samples of these fine wines from Europe and the Americas:

Ziegler Riesling (France) – From the heart of Alsace, this riesling has a delicately fruity bouquet with great finesse. Excellent with fish, shellfish, seafood, white meats, and of course, sauerkraut.

Snowline Riesling (Washington State, US) – This Columbia Valley wine has enticing flavors of ripe peaches and apple-flavored juice with a honeyed sweetness that layers nicely throughout the glass. Give it a slight chill and enjoy with soft cheeses, sushi, and colorful spinach salads with fresh veggies.

Angels Landing Cabernet (California, US) – Angels Landing is a deep colored cabernet with loads of blackberry, currant, and mocha. Firm bodied with ripe tannins. A definite crowd pleaser for any occasion. Pairs particularly well with lamb and grilled beef.

Chateau Guichot Bordeaux (France) – It opens with a wonderful nose of jammy red currants, blackberries, cassis and a little spice to round out the palate. Medium-bodied with a satisfying finish that displays vanilla and a little nutmeg.

Tasting hours for this event will be from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.

All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
