This Saturday, July 20, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of the wines of Natale Verga.
Join us for this special sampling from the Natale Verga winery from Lombardia, Italy, and explore some of their most popular wines:
Pinot Grigio: Green apple, pears and orange blossoms in the bouquet followed by notes of figs, almonds and pears on the tongue. This light and dry wine is versatile enough to be served by itself or with fettuccine alfredo, lemon chicken or “bun-less” turkey burgers with steamed veggies.
Gavi: Made from Cortese grapes in Northern Italy, this refreshing white pours a beautiful straw color, followed by the bouquet of white flowers, citrus, and toffee aromas. Its soft mouthfeel reveals flavors of apple and melon with a drying minerality. Pairs well with cold seafood salads, linguine with clam sauce or chicken Alfredo.
Antale Salento: Antale Salento Rosso hails from southern Italy. On the nose you’ll get aromas of red and black berry fruits, followed by a bit of baking spice. On the palate you’ll get pepper, plum, oak, and cherry. Full-bodied and dry, this wine has a long finish. Pair Antale Salento Rosso with steak or other grilled meats.
Prosecco: Natale Verga’s sparkling offering is dry, lemony, and bubbly with overtones of almond and honey. Chill it down and serve as an aperitif. Pairs well with calamari, crabmeat dishes, and spring mix salads.
You can sample these delightful wines this Saturday during our free tasting from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
