Join us this Saturday, August 20 for a free tasting of “Wine Manager’s Discoveries”.
This weekend features four exciting selections from our Wine Department–wines that they cannot wait to share with you.
Whether you need a bottle to impress at a dinner party, or just to celebrate life with someone special, these treasures have you covered.
De Angelis Larima Christi del Vesuvio White Blend:
The De Angelis family has been growing ancient varietals introduced by the Greeks on the slopes of Vesuvius for generations. This is a dry, balanced white featuring ripe exotic fruit with hints of yellow wildflowers.
Chateau Graville-Lacoste Graves:
This Graves is distinguished by its high percentage of Sémillon, sourced from vineyards in the white wine terroir of Bordeaux. It is dry on the palate, with a definite sense of lovely sweet, ripe fruit in both the nose and mouth. An artistic blend of 60% Sémillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscadelle.
Boscarelli Prugnolo (Rosso di Montepulciano) 2014:
This premium red blend carries subdued aromas of red plum, baking spice and a warm, yeasty whiff that recalls bread dough coming together. With 90% Sangiovese and 10% Mammolo, its simple, lively palate offers tart sour cherry and orange peel accompanied by a zesty acidity.
Siot Chardonnay:
Siot’s Chardonnay starts a pale straw color, leading into aromas of grilled pineapple, banana, Meyer lemon, and orange rind with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Its citrus fruit and toasted oak show through on the palate, with the dry, medium body accentuated with a bright, racy acidity.
