Join us this Saturday, December 3, 2016, for “A Taste of Bordeaux”- a free wine tasting featuring several special finds from one of France’s most celebrated winemaking regions.

This weekend features several exciting selections from our Wine Department–wines that they simply cannot wait to share with you. 

We invite you to experience these offerings:

Chateau Bellevue d’Espy: This blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cab Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc has a beautiful violet color. Itse aromas are bountiful with fresh black and red fruits. The palate exhibits black cherries, crushed strawberries, spices, and tobacco with a finish balanced between tannins and the fruit.

Chateau Briot Blanc: A contemporary Bordeaux white wine excelling in freshness and purity with delicate citrus and floral aromas and a palate that is elegant, richly flavored, and finishing crisply.

Chateau Cantelaudette: Dark stone fruits, ceda,r and licorice spice dominate the wine’s rich palate. Its tannins are soft and well integrated into the finish.

Chateau Guichot: This Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc blend sports an intense garnet color and a complex nose full of red fruits and wood aromas. This well-rounded, aromatic wine is ideal with grilled or roasted meats and a variety of cheeses.

Chateau Lamothe: This regional blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark cherry colored wine offering a complex bouquet of earthy blackberry, plum, spices, and cherry with a touch of liquorice. Optimum balance with ripe, toasty tannins.

Tasting hours for this Saturday, December 3 event will be from noon until 3:45 pm. Our “Wine Manager’s Discoveries” event will be held at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.

Participants must present valid I.D.
