Saturday Tasting – Left Hand Brewing & Select Red Wines

This Saturday, March 3, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting featuring the beers of Left Hand Brewing and select Red Wines.

Left Hand Brewing is the renowned regional craft brewery from right here in Longmont.

They’re also our “Colorado Craft Brewery of the Month“!

For the wine lovers, you can discover, or re-experience, some of our most popular wines.

This week’s selections include:

Natale Verga Governo: A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. “Governo all’uso Toscano” dates back to the most ancient traditions of Tuscan farmers. Part of the grapes planted before harvest are added to wine during fermentation, so as to give it more softness and to enhance its bouquet. Intense red color, fruity notes and round aromas are the distinctive characteristics of this wine. It is fresh, harmonic and savory on the palate.

Perseverance Old Vine Zinfandel: Deep intensity, noticeable tannins and dark, black fruit. The flavors are harmonious with notes of dark raspberries, spice, anise, caramel and roasted nuts. Big and bold with the ability to age or you can pull the cork now.

The Culprit Red Blend: Big, bold and intense! 32% Syrah, 28% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Sirah, 9% Sangiovese, 7% Grenache, 5% Barbera, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Primitivo and 1% Merlot. Displays intense aromas of fresh, ripe raspberries and toasty vanilla oak. Flavors of blackberry syrup, blackberry jam and deep, dark chocolate are framed by velvety tannins. This fruit-forward, palate pleasing wine finishes long, lingering and smooth.

Sparkplug Bourbon Barrel Red Blend: A sumptuous blend of California Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cab Sauv and Zinfandel, this wine is huge in all aspects. Deep, black fruit aromas with undertones of cigar box, cedar wood and anise. The very lush flavors take the wine and bourbon on an adventure intertwined with blackberries, plums and cassis. The bourbon lifts the skirt and boldness level up a notch, depositing hints of char, smoke and caramel chewiness. Big, round and bossy. Time to get the fire started.

Tasting hours for this free event on Saturday, March 3, 2018, will be from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
