This Saturday, August 25, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of wines from Granite Hill Cellars.

Granite Hill Cellars is a newly released brand by the Kautz Family of Lodi, California. The name comes from the rocky and “granite” terroir on which the family’s vineyards grow. The soft rolling hills, in conjunction with the Pacific Ocean Delta breezes, make these vineyards ideal for grapes of distinction. Practicing sustainability for over 30 years, the family is committed to the longevity of their land and the environment around them.

Saturday, we will be sampling these selections:

Cabernet – This bold, flavorful Lodi Cabernet carries enticing flavors of dark cherries, raspberries, and black currants, ending with a gentle kiss of vanilla notes and wood.

Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel -Inspired by the golden hills of California, this Old Vine Zinfandel displays flavors of dark fruits such as blackberries and ripe plums with a spicy finish.

Petite Sirah – This Lodi Petite Sirah is rich in flavors of warm berry pie, blueberry, vanilla, and dark chocolate, concluding with a long and full finish.

Pinot Grigio – This vintage displays exotic floral aromas that stream into some subtle green apple and citrus with a light spiciness. The finish is smooth and lasting with some ending notes of white peaches. A welcoming acidity holds the finish together, making it an ideal pairing with cod, shrimp, simple barbecue, and vegetarian dishes.

Tasting hours for this event will be from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
