Join us for the fun this Father’s Day weekend as we sample select gift Scotch whiskies this Saturday, June 16, from noon-4:45 pm.
This Saturday, we will be tasting the following selections:
Highland Journey: This new blend is matured in both bourbon & sherry casks. Its nose has sweet notes of freshly baked brown bread, vanilla fudge, and floral heather. Its palate has front flavors of lemon cake and vanilla custard. It develops into bold, spicy notes of cinnamon and cracked black pepper, leading to a medium length, malty finish of honeyed barley and crushed almonds.
Macallan 12 Year Old: This renowned single malt is distinguished by its rich golden color and vanilla aroma with hints of fruits, sherry, wood smoke and ginger. Its flavors are balanced by wood smoke and spice with the same fruits and sherry detected in the aroma. Smooth yet sweet, this Scotch has a sweet toffee finish in addition to the dried fruits, spice and wood smoke found in its aroma and taste.
Balvenie 12 Doublewood: Balvenie’s palate is sweet with a respectable body. There is gentle spice with a little vanilla. A hint of balancing peat, as well as a delicately proportioned application of sherry, lurk quietly in its lower layers. Dried fruit, combined with nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, is also well integrated, leading to a spicy, slightly drying, but still sweet finish.
Glenmorangie 10 Year Old: Glenmorangie’s flagship single malt is distilled and matured in Ross-Shire, Scotland since 1843. Perfected by the sixteen men of Tain, Glenmorangie Ten Year Old is renowned the world over for its elegant and floral spirit; a single malt whisky of exquisite finesse and alluring complexity. It carries flavors of honeyed sweetness fused with notes of citrus, vanilla and almonds, making it delicate, alluring and very complex.
