This Saturday, February 29, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of Dalva ports.

Dalva, whose origin lies in the founder´s surname DA  SI LVA, was founded in 1862. They are a traditional Port wine house, producing Port wines with high quality standards and brand value.

The quality of C. da Silva Wines is internationally recognized, with special emphasis on their Colheitas and aged whites. They are firmly established in five continents.

This weekend, sample selections such as:

Dalva Ruby Port: Carries a rich ruby color with an aroma reminiscent of a delicate red berry conserve. It is harmonious and balanced on the palate, with a sweet and attractive fruity aftertaste.

Dalva Tawny Port: With a lovely light reddish color and aromas of fresh, dried fruits with hints of vanilla, Dalva Tawny is well balanced on the palate with an agreeable aftertaste of cherries. Tawny ports are typically drunk as a single glass after a meal or as a dessert wine paired with a chocolate cake or an almond tart.

Dalva White Port: White Port Wine is an excellent aperitif, with an average of three years of aging, balanced sweetness. It reveals its fruity component when served very chilled. Dalvo White has a dark yellow hue and aromas of preserved fruit, baked apples, and dried flowers. Full bodied on the palate with a smooth rounded finish.

Dalva 10 Year-Old Tawny: Aged in oak for ten years, this Tawny has red nuances in its golden color, with a deep aroma of fruit conserve and nuts. Very balanced with delicate, fruity and spicy notes and a fresh, long finish.
