As part of our Thunder at the Peaks Car Show this Saturday, July 1, we are offering a special free tasting featuring Crown Royal Canadian Whiskies and the beers of Crooked Stave, one of Colorado’s most innovative breweries.

Saturday’s Crown Royal selections are: 

Crown Royal Fine Deluxe: Crown Royal’s flagship is matured to perfection in white oak barrels, carrying a depth of malted smoothness that sets the standard for Canadian blends. Created to celebrate a visit from King George VI & Queen Elizabeth in 1939, Crown Royal is full-bodied, yet delicately smooth and creamy, with hints of oak and vanilla. 40% ABV.

Crown Royal XO: Launched in 2014, Crown Royal’s XO is a blend of approximately 50 whiskies which are married and then aged in cognac casks from the Limousin Forest in France. Rich, sweet, and smooth, this is arguably the most complex whisky in their range. 40% ABV.

Crown Royal Vanilla: Specially selected whiskies are infused with the rich flavor of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. The result is a uniquely sophisticated whisky, bursting with the bold flavor of vanilla and the distinctive smoothness of Crown Royal. 35% ABV.

Crown Royal Regal Apple: To create this extraordinary blend, Crown Royal master whisky blenders hand-select batches and infuse them with Regal Gala Apples for a delicious Canadian whisky balanced with notes of crisp apple flavor and light notes of caramel and spice. An interesting addition for summer and fall months. 35% ABV.

For the beer lovers, we are offering the oppourtunity to sample selections from The Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project:

Based in Denver, Crooked Stave Artisans focuses on craft quality Belgian sour beers, building a cult-like following throughout the Front Range. Now’s your chance to try selections such as:

Colorado WildSage Brett Saison : This Brett Saison is brewed to pay homage to the great state of Colorado by incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass, and utilizing all Colorado ingredients. 7.2% ABV.

HopSavant: This beer is a hop-forward IPA-style beer brewed with Crooked Stave’s Brettanomyces yeast strains. The subtle Brett characteristics give way to pungent, citrusy, resinous hops, with a pleasant tropical fruit finish. 6.7% ABV.

St.Bretta: St.Bretta is a re-imagination of early farmhouse saisons brewed in Europe combining fresh citrus characteristics with yeast-driven tropical fruit flavors and aromas. 5.2% ABV.

Omnipollo Bianca Raspberry Wild Wild Brett: This collaboration with Swedish brewery Omnipollo pours a hazy red color with a smooth white head. It exhibits an aroma of tart raspberries, carrying into fruity sour raspberry flavors with hints of vanilla and wood. 6.0% ABV.

Tasting hours for Saturday, July 1, 2017 will be from noon to 4:45 pm., at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
