This Saturday, April 20, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of Greetings wines.

The Greetings Wine Company of Oregon offers a variety of tasty, accessible wines that showcase some of the best that the Pacific Northwest wine cultivating region has to offer.

We will be sampling the following:

Greetings Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Oregon is known for its Pinot Noir, and with this one from Greetings, you can see why. This handcrafted Willamette Pinot Noir is bursting with flavors of blackberry, spice, and dark cherries. Lush and rounded, it is accented by a bright acidity and a long finish. This versatile Pinot Noir teams well with sweet and tangy BBQ dishes, Asian cuisine and gourmet burgers. Try serving it slightly chilled on a warm evening.

Greetings Pinot Gris

This Willamette Valley is not a simple wine. It is vibrant, clean, and well-balanced with notes of soft peach, melon, and citrus on a sleek frame with a touch of minerality in its crisp finish. It is wonderful when paired with spicy pork, mushrooms, or a charcuterie plate.

Greetings Willamette Valley Rosé

Greetings Rosé is flawlessly layered with soft berries, a lush mid-palate texture, and a refreshing, pleasing acidity in its finish. It begins with an enchanting flamingo color, leading to sweet berry aromas and a mouth of plump black cherry and raspberry. A definite pink gem from the Pacific Northwest.

To round out our tasting quartet, we will also be offering:

Buena Vista Sonoma Valley Merlot

This wine opens with enticing aromas of plum skin and dusty chocolate. Rich flavors of dark plum and baked fruits with a subtle touch of dried herbs round out the palate and its big, firm tannins.

You can try these fine spring wines this Saturday during our free tasting from noon-4:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
