This Friday, November 3, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting featuring Upslope Brewing and wines of Germany.
Upslope is Wyatt’s Colorado Craft Brewery of the Month for November.
Upslope Brewing Company is a craft brewery based in Boulder, Colorado, specializing in hand-crafted, all natural beers with a focus on flavor and sustainability. Their success has led to them being one of the fastest growing companies in Boulder.
For the wine lovers, we are tasting select wines of Germany.
A self-taught winemaker, Charles Smith is a true artisan and a pioneer in the wine world. This Friday is your chance to see why he is one of the most renowned and award winning wine makers in Washington State.
Jacob–Heims Urziger Spatlese: Highlighted by pronounced nuances of exotic spices and mesmerizing earthiness, this wine is bursting with tropical fruit flavors and pears. Old vines in a red volcanic soil with a high iron content make this wine a pure delight. Give it a slight chill and enjoy with oysters, calamari grilled and dressed with olive oil and oregano, or angel hair pasta.
Jacob–Heims Riesling Kabinett: Thirty-year-old vines provide more concentrated flavors of grapefruit, orange oil and white peach for the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity with a long mineral laced finish.
Weinhaus Ress Kabinett: Pale straw color with faint aromas of yellow apple, candied lime, and moss with a silky and tangy finish, this wine is off-dry and light-to-medium bodied. A complex wine with flavors of honeyed tangerine and smoky lava stones on the finish. It is crisp with great acidity and a lot of character.
Carl Sittmann QBA: Carl Sittmann Riesling has aromas of green apples, pears, and apricots. The sweet flavors of peaches and apples are gracefully balanced by the crisp acidity, keeping it refreshingly elegant and gracefully without being too sweet.
Tasting hours for this free event on Friday, November 3, 2017, will be from 4:00-6:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
