This Friday, June 9, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of our Summer Visitor Wine Collection and WeldWerks Brewery.
Perfect for any visitors that stop by, or even a personal pop-in from “The Wine Fairy”, we will be tasting the following selections:
Second Growth Pinot Gris: This Oregon Pinot Gris has hints of lemon and lime citrus with a surprising depth on the nose, followed by white peach and ripe pear flavors on the palate. The soft finish is lined with just enough honeysuckle to tempt you into having more.
Second Growth Pinot Noir: This Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a multi-layered wine with vibrant notes of cranberry, rose, strawberry, with a touch of pink peppercorn and toasted nuts. Highly food-friendly, this is a serious wine for fun occasions.
Ink Monster Zinfandel, Italy: This frighteningly good Italian red is an inky dark, richly concentrated wine with notes of blackberry spices and vanilla. Enjoy it with braised short ribs, or veal shanks with mushroom risotto.
Wild Pig Syrah, France: Wild Pig Syrah pours a deep brilliant red color. Blackberry and blackcurrant aromas, followed by a spicy mouthful of small red fruits. Firm structure and juicy finish. Very food friendly.
For the beer lovers, we are offering the oppourtunity to sample selections from WeldWerks Brewery, a renowned, award-winning Colorado craft brewery in Greeley.
Today, we are bringing in two new, specialty beers, available only in crowlers (and at a limited quantity). Our beer tasting flight includes WeldWerk’s:
Hefeweizen: This New American IPA is brewed with Cascade, Columbus, Azacca, Amarillo, and Citra for a bold hop taste. It carries serious attitude for a fun-loving altitude. 7.1% ABV, 75 IBUs.
Puesta Del Sol Vienna Lager: A Rocky Mountain lager for all seasons, Pils is brewed low and slow, perfect for barbecues and all outings. 5.3% ABV, 35 IBUs.
Fruity Bits Strawberry Shortcake: Fruity Bits Strawberry Shortcake opens with delicious, ripe, juicy strawberries and finishes with sweet, creamy, vanilla and just enough hop bitterness for balance. Brewed exclusively with Citra and Belma hops. Strawberry purée complements the natural strawberry character of Belma. The soft, creamy mouthfeel characteristic of a New England-style IPA with lactose and vanilla beans, mimics the flavor and texture of shortcake and whipped cream, leaving you wondering if you’re drinking an IPA or eating dessert. 7.2% ABV, 45 IBUs. (Limited edition. Available in 32 oz crowler only.)
Juicy Bits New England IPA: This New England-style IPA featuring a huge citrus and tropical fruit character from the Mosaic, Citra, and El Dorado hops. Fluffy and hazy, reminiscent of citrus juice with extra pulp, thus the name Juicy Bits. 6.5% ABV, 45 IBUs. (Limited edition. Available in 32 oz crowler only.)
Tasting hours for this free event on Friday, June 9, 2017, will be from 4:00-6:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
