It’s September! You know what that means? Oktoberfest beer! Grab your lederhosen and join us for our free Friday tasting this week!
Oktoberfest beer, also known as Märzen, is brewed in March. Before refrigeration, it was nearly impossible to brew beer in the summer due to the hot weather and bacterial infections. Brewing ended with the coming of spring then started up again in the fall. The Märzens were kept in cold storage over the spring and summer months, often in cellars or caves, or brewed at a higher gravity so they wouldn’t perish.
Märzenbier is characteristically a full-bodied lager–rich, toasty, and typically dark copper in color with a medium to high alcohol content.
Wyatt’s is offering you the opPOURtunity to try four great Colordo interpretations of the style from Four Noses, 105 West, Odell, and Ska Brewing.
Tasting hours for this free event on Friday, September 6th will be from 4:00-6:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
As always, all participants must present valid I.D.
