This Friday, July 7, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting of Epic Brewing and select Italian Wines.

For the beer lovers, we are offering the oppourtunity to sample selections from Epic Brewing, a local Colorado brewery out of Buena Vista.

Friday’s beer flight includes:

Los Locos Mexican-style Lager: This refreshing summer beer is brewed with corn, lime, and just a hint of sea salt. 4.8% ABV.

Hop Syndrome Pils:This crisp, hoppy lager is brewed with a rare blend of hops resulting in notes of citrus and subtle hints of “sweet tart candy”. 4.5% ABV.

Escape to Colorado IPA: This hop-forward ale focuses on Mosaic hops, celebrating the brewers’ escape to the east side of the Rocky Mountains. 6.2% ABV.

Son of a Baptist: This rotating title is a coffee stout brewed differently each session with java from local roasters, and finished with cacao nibs. 8.0% ABV.

We will be tasting the following Italian treasures for our wine lovers:

Tenute Guicciardini Strozzi Vernaccia: The Vernaccia di San Gimignano ‘Villa Cusona’ is made with 100% estate-owned grapes. It is a very distinctive white wine with a straw yellow color, intense varietal notes, heady floral bouquet and a lovely bitter almond aftertaste. It also reflects its rich terroir with a marked minerality. Harmonious and fresh while structured at the same time, its dry character and acidity make it a perfect choice for fish-based dishes and pasta with cream-based sauces and cheese boards.

Cantine Sant’Agata Baby Barbera: Fresh and easy drinking, this informal wine opens with aromas of dark cherries, blackberries and a whiff of clove that carry over to the straightforward palate. It’s straightforward but well made. Ideal with lighter courses.

Illuminati Montepulciano d’Abruzzo: This bold red displays intense red currant and cherry aromas with a touch of tobacco. Ripe fruit and soft tannins are the hallmarks of this amazing value red wine made from the Montepulciano grape.

Tenute Guicciardini Strozzi Chianti Colli Senesi: Chianti Colli Senesi is produced in the hills around Siena. Sangiovese grapes, all from estate owned- vineyards around the property of Villa Cusona, are enriched by a small selection of other red grape varieties. The color is deep ruby red, with bright highlights. It is fruity and floral on the nose with youthful fragrance.Fresh yet full, with fine, elegant tannins and a long, pleasant aftertaste. Its characteristic freshness makes it the ideal wine for a meal of pasta with red tomato sauce, meat and cheeses.

Tasting hours for this free event on Friday, July 7, 2017, will be from 4:00-6:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
