Friday Tasting – Boulder Beer & Charles Smith Wines
September 29, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:45 pm

This Friday, September 29, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting featuring the Boulder Beer Company and of the wines of Charles Smith of Washington State.
The Boulder Beer Company is Colorado’s first craft brewery.
In 1979, two professors at the University of Colorado received the 43rd brewing license issued in the United States, creating Boulder Beer. The original site of the brewery was a small farm northeast of Boulder, the brew house sharing space in a shed originally housing a few goats.
In a world of light yellow lagers, Boulder Beer won industry and consumer accolades for its line of bold Boulder Beers: Boulder Porter, Stout and Extra Special Bitter. Five years later, the brewery moved to its current site in Boulder and expanded from its original one-barrel brewing system to a 50-barrel brew house with top-of-the-line packaging equipment. In 1994, they converted the original tasting room into a full-menu pub and scenic patio under the Flatirons.
For the wine lovers, we are tasting selections from Charles Smith Wines of Washington.
A self-taught winemaker, Charles Smith is a true artisan and a pioneer in the wine world. This Friday is your chance to see why he is one of the most renowned and award winning wine makers in Washington State.
Kung Fu Girl Riesling: Crushed minerals run through the heart of this pure and satisfying Riesling. Aromas of white peach, lime leaves, Linden tree, and crush stone echo in the palate with a long, fresh finish. One of Washington state’s most popular rieslings with a 90 Point rating and named one of the Top 100 Wines of 2016 from Wine Spectator.
Eve Chardonnay: This brilliant green-golden wine presents aromatic pear, tangerine, and guava with a refreshing vein of minerality running through the middle. Long and satisfying.
Boom Boom Syrah: Boom Boom explodes with taste complexity and bold tannins. Blackberry, boysenberry, dry-hung meat, white pepper, savory herbs, crushed granite all come into play, offering wine lovers a true experience.
Velvet Devil Merlot: This little devil is dense and bursting with flavors of dark fruit, cherry, blackberry with notes of cedar, pipe tobacco, and earthly terroir.
Chateau Smith Cabernet: A dark, rich Cabernet full of chocolate, dark cherries, and tobacco leaf that continues with earth and stone on its lingering finie Instsh.
