This Friday, November 17, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting featuring Beaujolais Nouveau Holiday Wine Releases & New Belgium Brewing.
An annual favorite, this French first harvest varietal is perfect for holiday celebrations and feasts. We will be sampling the following selections:
Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau: Vibrant red fruits flavors of strawberries and currants show on the palate with an intense perfume that make this wine a perfect accompaniment for cheese, charcuterie, and traditional holiday fare. Serve slightly chilled.
Drouhin Beaujolais Nouveau: This wine has a dark red color, with deep bluish tints. Juicy cherry and strawberry flavors burst through the creamy midpalate, with licorice drop and floral details giving expression to the finish. Light tannins.
Domaine Rochette Beaujolais Villages Nouveau: A bit weightier than most other Beaujolais wines, this one carries a savory edge of grilled herb and fresh earth lined with boysenberry and cherry fruit. Ample sweet spice and zesty elements linger into the tangy, lightly grippy finish.
La Perliere Beaujolais Villages: On the nose, one gets notes of raspberry and cherry. On the palate, flavors of smoke, mineral, and strawberry are present with soft tannins. This is a medium-bodied wine with a short, peppery finish.
All of our tasting wines will be on sale during tasting day!
We’ll also have the #opPOURtunity to sample beers from New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins. New Belgium Brewing Company is an employee-owned craft brewery specializing in innovative Belgian-inspired ales, best known for Colorado favorite Fat Tire Ale.
