This Friday, May 3, 2019, Wyatt’s continues in a series of Staff Favorites.
This week, it’s Lynette’s Picks:
Flamingo Fruit Fight – Bell’s Brewery: The name “Larry’s Latest” is a nod to the spirit of innovation and experimentation that Larry Bell started in 1985 and continues within the brewery to this day. Their latest tart fruit ale is brewed with passionfruit and lime zest, resulting in a tart blend of tropical, citrus flavors and aromas. 5.0% ABV.
G’Knight – Oskar Blues Brewery: Their “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry-hopped double red IPA with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle, and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size. It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of their hometown of Lyons. 8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs.
Coriolis Effect – New Image Brewing: Pairing up New Zealand’s Motueka hop with Citra, this brings together their blend of melon, tropical, and stone fruits with an added dry hop of Columbus to bring those voluptuous flavors to the surface. Sweet on the first sip while finishing dry, this beer brings an understated elegance to the standard IPA. 6.5% ABV.
Breakfast Stout – Founders Brewing: The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever. 8.3% ABV, 60 IBUs.
Tasting hours for Friday, May 3rd event will be from 4-6:45 pm., at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
