“Rosé all day!”–Joe Henry
This Friday, February 23, Wyatt’s is offering a free tasting featuring French Rosé wines and the beers of Firestone Walker Brewing..
In conjunction with our big French wine and Margarita sale this week, you can do a “try before you buy” on select Rosés this Friday.
Rosé is considered the oldest known type of wine, dating as far back as 600 BC. Rosé wines are generally made from red grapes and are highly versatile wines that complement many types of foods. They are lighter than red wine and deeper than white. Their pink color depends on the amount of time the grape skin stays in contact with the juice.
Rosés are ideal for warmer evenings and casual dinners with friends. Dry rosés, which have the acidity of white wine and the fruit character of red, pair particularly well with small plate fare and tapas like prosciutto and melon, asparagus, and quiches with mushrooms. Pork sausages right off the grill are terrific with rosés, as are grilled vegetables like peppers and zucchini.
For the beer lovers, we are offering the #opPOURtunity to sample selections from Firestone Walker, California’s fourth largest craft brewery, who is known for producing full-flavored hoppy ales.
Tasting hours for this Friday, February 23, 2018 will be from 4:00 to 6:45 pm, at Wyatt’s Outlaw Saloon, in the back of the store.
All of this week’s featured items will be on sale!
As always, all participants must present valid I.D.
