Wyatt’s Wet Goods is proud to host a bottle signing reception for Daniel Cohn this Thursday, August 16, from 5-7 p.m. (You can learn more about this fascinating wine celebrity here.)
Cohn’s newest project is Bellacosa, launched after the sale of his family’s winery, BR Cohn. The innovative new wine is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, pumped with a shot of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, all hailing from vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino’s Red Hills. This wine is rich and balanced with aromas of cherry, plum, and round silky tannins with multilayered vanilla refined from French oak aging.
Bellacosa Cabernet Sauvignon harkens back to a time when wine was expertly crafted in small batches by artisans whose passion was to make the most memorable wine; an era in California when vineyards were family farmed and wines were made by hand in pursuit of purity, flavor and finesse. Bellacosa embodies the connection of soul and experience; a subtle force that brings people together. Rich, velvety and complex, it is a beautiful expression of Sonoma Cabernet. 94 Points, The Tasting Panel:
“Deep, earthy chocolate notes invigorate the palate. Raspberry painted on blueberry painted on blackberry makes for layers of sumptuous fruit, with a juiciness that goes to the max. The acidity is just right and pinpoints the pleasure principle for pairing with duck, grilled meats and cheese.”
91 Points, Wilfred Wong of Wine.com:
“Smooth and silky, the well-made and appealing 2014 Daniel Cohn Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon stays long and delectable on the palate. The wine’s red and black fruit flavors match well with lighter as well as with richer meat entrées.” (Tasted: January 23, 2017, San Francisco, CA)
This meet & greet with this iconic winemaker will be a bottle signing, not a tasting. Come and chat with one of the most famous winemakers in Napa & Sonoma. Light fare (cheese, crackers, fruit plate) will be served. For more information on this event, contact our Wine Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
